AX Hotels is a brand well-known for always keeping guests’ well-being at the top of their list. Covid-19 brings forward another hurdle apart from physical health; that of loneliness. When deprived from human contact, our elderly are subject to loneliness, depression and idleness. Their mental health is compromised and, here at AX Care, we are determined to help.

AX Group Hospitality Director, Ms Claire Zammit Xuereb, was invited to give a speech at the Malta Stock Exchange's (MSE) Annual Awards Dinner on Friday 22nd November, 2019. Having helped to build a family dynasty within the hospitality sector in Malta, famed for its dynamic and innovative approach, Ms Xuereb is a true role model for women in business.
The NAS has been working closely with the AX Foundation and the Ministry of Education to equip educators with the necessary skill sets to help children on the autism spectrum, as part of the AX Foundation’s latest project aimed at fighting Invisible Disabilities.
AX Foundation is ready to finance a training programme for over 35 teachers. In collaboration with the National School Support Services and has reached out to National Autistic Society (NAS) in the UK, one of the leading institutions in this field, to lead the training sessions here in Malta.

A fundraising dinner by AX Foundation was held at AX The Palace in Sliema on Saturday 19th October. A sum of €4,140 was raised on the evening, with all proceeds going towards the AX Foundation’s first project in aid of people with Invisible Disabilities. The event took place at the Royal Hall of the 5-star hotel and was well attended by guests. The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra was also present on the evening, providing excellent entertainment to accompany the dining experience.
