First project in aid of people suffering from invisible disabilities
A fundraising dinner by AX Foundation was held at AX The Palace in Sliema on Saturday 19th October. A sum of €4,140 was raised on the evening, with all proceeds going towards the AX Foundation’s first project in aid of people with Invisible Disabilities. The event took place at the Royal Hall of the 5-star hotel and was well attended by guests. The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra was also present on the evening, providing excellent entertainment to accompany the dining experience.
Speaking at the event, Ms Claire Zammit Xuereb, Hospitality Director of AX Group, said: “We are here today to raise awareness of Invisible Disabilities, a cause that is very close to our hearts. AX Foundation’s first project will be focusing on helping children with autism, and all proceeds will go toward funding a training programme so that Malta’s educators can be in a better position to take care and educate young ones who have this invisible disability.”
As the charitable arm of AX Group, AX Foundation was originally launched in 2006 in order to support employees and their families experiencing mental, social or physical difficulties and to assist other philanthropic NGOs. The foundation has now expanded its scope by focusing on a dedicated cause – invisible disabilities, and launching its first project targeting the autism spectrum.

We’re so pleased that this event has been a success and we are confident that through this initiative, we will be able to help people on the autism spectrum, as well as their educators and families, to develop into independent adults,” said Ms Zammit Xuereb.
AX Foundation will continue to raise funds to invest in training and awareness about Invisible Disabilities, and guests staying at AX Hotels and dining in AX Hotels outlets are also being invited to contribute to the cause through small donations.
