AX Group is pleased to support to YMCA Malta, contributing to their vital initiatives including aiding homelessness, mental health, domestic violence, and poverty alleviation efforts.
Ms Olga Lukina, Executive Secretary for Strategy and Movement Strengthening at YMCA Europe, and Mr Paul Smillie, Chairperson of the Movement Strengthening Committee for YMCA Europe, recently visited Malta along with the rest of the YMCA committee. Their visit aimed to discuss strategic priorities and explore key tools for fostering stronger collaboration among YMCAs across Europe.
AX Group was recognised during the visit as a key partner in supporting YMCA Malta’s initiatives. In recognition of its ongoing contributions to disadvantaged and underserved communities, YMCA Malta and YMCA Europe presented Chairman Mr Angelo Xuereb and Ms Denise Xuereb, Director of Construction and Development at AX Group with a plaque of appreciation. This gesture acknowledges not only AX Group’s direct support of YMCA Malta but also its broader commitment to strengthening civil society organisations in Malta through its corporate social responsibility programs.
During their time in Malta, the delegation visited YMCA Malta to gain first-hand insights into the impactful work being carried out to support vulnerable communities, particularly the homeless. They commended YMCA Malta’s efforts in addressing critical social challenges and providing essential services to those most in need.
