Inspired by the global Earth Day 2022 theme ‘Invest In Our Planet’, the AX Group employees conducted a clean-up initiative across the Naxxar, Mosta, Rabat, Sliema and Qawra; localities where the Group has its business operations. At AX Group we continue to recognise our responsibility and obligation to leave a lasting, positive impact in the industries and communities we operate in.

AX employees showed up in droves, armed with gloves and recycling content bags to clean up Mosta’s Wied il-Ghasel, Tal-Virtu area in Rabat, Qawra promenade and Sliema front.  Hilltop Gardens and Simblija Care Home employees were determined to clean up the area of It-Torri tal-Għallis following yesterday’s Force 7 winds that littered the area with plastic and other waste from Magħtab landfill.  In Naxxar, AX Care has been committed to community building as a defining value of its mission. This is accomplished through an annual CSR campaign that employees initiate and lead.

Mr Michael Warrington CEO of the AX Group said, ‘’Corporate Social Responsibility is deeply rooted in our culture. Through the generous spirit of our people, we strive to be ambassadors for change and actively support initiatives we believe will make a tangible difference to various causes. Extending a helping hand, whether through financial aid or community action, has become an integral part of life at AX Group’’.

The Great Global Cleanup® – https://www.earthday.org/ – is a worldwide campaign to remove billions of pieces of trash, reducing waste and plastic pollution, improving habitats, and preventing harm to wildlife and humans. This international program which aims to conduct clean ups every day of the year for a brighter, greener, and cleaner planet has been successfully championed by the AX Group.
