Decorating Easter eggs is one of the most enjoyable things about Easter period, particularly when children are old enough to enjoy themselves in the company of their parents and friends. On Easter Monday, The Palace & The Victoria Hotel in Sliema, organised an Easter egg decorating event at the William Shakespeare Suite in The Victoria Hotel. Both hotels, forming part of AX Hotels, teamed up with Puttinu Cares to raise funds for this Cancer Support Group and to help families with children suffering from cancer.
Around ten children, from 4 to 10 years old, took part in this entertaining event, allowing their imaginations to lead their creativity as they produced some egg-cellent ideas while having some Easter fun! Following this decoration session, the children were entertained at a party, attended by volunteers from the hotel staff and parents who all helped make this successful event.
The manager at The Palace & The Victoria Hotel, Mr Kevin Callus highlighted the fact that on a social aspect both Hotels are renowned for contributing towards the assistance and enhancement of conditions of those going through unfortunate social, mental or physical difficulties. “Thanks to this collaboration with Puttinu Cares, we are happy to outspread the backing of our Hotels through various corporate social responsibility events with the intention to increase public awareness,” added Mr Callus.
Children attending this event were given a goodie bag and a donation of 675 euro, was presented on behalf of the AX Foundation and the hotel staff to support Puttinu and Dr. Klown.
